Loam Nutrition started with Mish’s first‑hand frustration during pregnancy.
She was bouncing between barcode‑scanning apps, nutrient trackers, “Is this safe?” searches, and handwritten shopping lists—only to end up decoding labels at every meal and second‑guessing her micronutrient totals.
What she wanted was simple to describe and impossible to find: one women’s nutrition app that could scan ingredients, answer safety questions clearly, track nutrients, suggest meals, and build a sane shopping list—then adapt as her body moved from cycle syncing and fertility through pregnancy, postpartum, and eventually menopause.
So she decided to build it.
Who We Are
Mish spent years in global food supply chains, auditing labels across three continents. She has seen exactly where additives hide, how regulations differ, and how confusing ingredient jargon can be for anyone trying to eat thoughtfully.
Adam has spent two decades as a software engineer building large‑scale, privacy‑centric products. He is a lifelong quantified‑self enthusiast who has logged his own biometrics, workouts, sleep, and nutrition for years.
